Workspace & Map

Your workspace appears on the right hand side of the map. This is where you can add layers, projects, save, view and restyle what you see on the Map.

Adding Layers

For quick reference, the Library below the Workspace contains other asset layers. When a user clicks on them, they are added and loaded to your Workspace.

Note: a user can reorder the layers using the (6 DOT MENU), the layer on top of the list will also be the top layer on the map. See example below with Pipelines on top and Mineral Rights below Wells.

Hide or Remove Layer

A user can hide a layer from map view by clicking on the Eye icon that appears when your cursor is over the name, or remove the layer by clicking on the drag handle (6 dot icon) and dragging it above the Workspace

To find comprehensive information about layers including uploading new ones and accessing personal and shared layers, see Lists & Layers (link.)

Modifying Base Layers

Most layers in your workspace can be styled. The Base Map and Grid View are permanent layers and have a settings icon on the right hand side. By clicking on the settings, a side panel appears with options that allow you to adjust the base map.

Different popular base layers such as roads and hydrology can also be turned on/off.

The base map settings can be opened up and changed by clicking on the Settings icon on the right hand side in the workspace.

Base Map Settings include 4 main backgrounds and a variety of key layers that can be toggled on/off.

Any layers that you import or create can be styled using the Gear icon on the right hand side of layers in your Workspace.

This opens a side panel where layers can be styled by changing their colour, size, or adding a label. Find out more about Styling options here.
