Map Selections
Selection tools help you choose a subset of the active layer’s map objects (e.g., wells). Once selected, the group can be saved as a new layer, further filtered, exported, or analyzed. While you select, a temporary selection layer appears in the workspace and in the attribute table.
There are four main ways to multi-select objects on the map:
Ctrl Select
Hold CTRL and click objects one by one. Each click adds the object to your selection. You can continue adding more at any time by holding CTRL.
Rectangular Select
Hold Shift and click the corner of the area of interest. While holding the mouse button and Shift, drag the cursor across the map to draw a rectangle. All objects within the rectangle from the active workspace layer will be selected.
Radius & Polygon Selection
On the right hand side of the map, there are two floating icons for Radius Selection and Polygon Selection. As with all selection, ensure that the layer of interest has been selected in the Workspace so that the selection acts on that layer.

Radius
Click the Radius icon to turn on the tool. There are two ways to draw the radius:
By default, clicking on the map and dragging creates a circle with the click point as the edge. The circle expands as you drag, showing the radius as a label.
Fixed Center: To fix the center of the circle, click the point of interest, hold ALT, and drag the cursor to expand the circle outward. This is a common use case and can be used to find all wells within a certain radius of a new spud or completion.
Once the mouse click has been released, the radius is set and all visible map objects for the active layer will be selected and the Radius selection tool is turned off. You can turn the Radius Selection tool off without selecting wells by clicking the Radius icon to close.

Polygon
Click the Polygon icon to turn on the tool. This allows you to draw a custom shape around the map objects of interest by clicking points around the objects. Once the Polygon has been drawn, the last point needs to be double-clicked to finish the selection.

Once the polygon selection has been completed, the Polygon Selection mode is turned off. To turn off polygon selection without selecting wells, click the Polygon Icon to turn it off.
